1. Connect voltmeter between VSV 1 electrical connector terminals leaving connector in place.
2. Connect suitable tachometer to engine following manufacturer's instructions, start engine and run at 2200 RPM, and note voltmeter reading.
3. Connect voltmeter to VSV 2 connector terminals, leaving connector in place, and note voltage at 2200 RPM.
4. Controller is operating properly if voltage at both VSV's is approximately 12 volts with engine speed below 3000 RPM.
