Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

EXC. 1987-88 TURBOCHARGED MODELS

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove alternator adjusting plate bolt.
3. Disconnect all hoses and electrical connectors from air cleaner, then remove air cleaner assembly.
4. Disconnect all hoses, electrical connectors and cables from carburetor, then remove carburetor assembly.
5. Disconnect all coolant and vacuum hoses and electrical connectors from intake manifold.
6. Remove intake manifold, attaching bolts and the intake manifold.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
