Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

The trouble code memory portion of the system is fed a continuous 12 volts even with the ignition key in the OFF position. After a fault has been corrected, it will be necessary to remove the voltage source for approximately 10 seconds to clear any stored codes.
The trouble code memory can also be cleared by removing the ECM fuse.
