General Motors has determined some 1986 Chevrolet Caprice and Caprice Classic models equipped with police (SEO 9C1) or taxi (SEO 9C6) special equipment option may experience a battery overcharging condition.

To prevent the possibility of this condition occurring, the generator voltage sense point will be rewired on all involved vehicles.
