Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

CELEBRITY, CENTURY, CIERA & 6000

1. Remove engine air cleaner.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge system refrigerant.
3. Remove all cowl located A/C harness connections, then move harness to right side of vehicle.
4. Remove vacuum tank (VINs R and 3 without cruise control), then disconnect liquid line and low pressure line at evaporator and accumulator inlets.
5. Remove outer blower case to cowl retaining screws. Remove blower and case assembly, removing A/C module heat shield as required.
6. Remove evaporator.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Renew sealer at outer blower case to cowl area.
