Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair

Fig. 25 Lateral acceleration switch:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove trim plate to instrument cluster attaching screws.
3. Remove instrument panel accessory trim plate attaching screws, then the trim plate.
4. Remove console trim plate attaching screws, then rotate trim plate and disconnect lighter.
5. Remove A/C control head, then the lateral acceleration switch attaching bolts, Fig. 25.
6. Disconnect lateral acceleration switch electrical connector, then remove switch.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
