Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair


G SERIES

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge system refrigerant.
2. Remove vehicle grille, hood lock and hood lock support as assembly.
3. Disconnect inlet and outlet lines at condenser. Plug all open connections.
4. Remove left side condenser bracket to radiator screws, then remove right side condenser bracket to condenser screws.
5. Remove condenser. If replacing with new condenser, transfer left side bracket to new unit. Add 1 fluid ounce of clean refrigerant oil to new condenser prior to installation. Use new O-rings coated with clean refrigerant oil at connections.
