Disassembly

1. Remove 14 lower valve body cover attaching bolts, then invert valve body assembly, see first image.
2. Remove 12 upper valve body cover attaching bolts, cover, strainer gaskets and plate, see second image.
3. Invert valve body assembly, then remove 3 lower valve body bolts.
4. Lift lower valve body and plate as an assembly, using care not to allow check valve and ball to fall out.
5. Note location of check ball, retainers and pins in valve body.
