PULSE AIR VALVE, REPLACE

1. Remove air cleaner, then disconnect rubber hose from plenum connecting pipe.
2. Disconnect four pipe check valve fittings from cylinder head and remove check valve pipes from plenum grommets.
3. Assemble replacement valves to pipe, then install pipe check valve assemblies to cylinder head and finger tighten fittings.
4. Using a suitable tool as a lever, align check valve to plenum grommet and install valve into grommet, Fig. 81. To ease assembly, apply a suitable rubber lubricant to grommets.
5. Torque fittings to specified torque, then reinstall air cleaner and hose.
