Input Shaft

DISASSEMBLE
1. Using tool No. J-22912, remove front bearing using a suitable press.

2. Using tool No. J-22912-01 and a suitable press, remove rear bearing 4th gear, 3rd and 4th synchronizer assembly and 3rd gear simultaneously. Then remove remaining input shaft components.

ASSEMBLE
1. Install needle bearing, 3rd gear and block ring.

2. Apply a coat of engine oil to collar and hub assemblies, then match the inserts of the 3rd and 4th gear sleeves and hub with the groove on blocker ring and using a suitable press, assemble sleeve, collar and hub assembly. Apply a coat of engine oil to final assembly.

3. Install needle bearing and blocker ring, then the 4th gear and thrust washer with washer recess facing toward 4th gear.

4. Using tool No. J-33374, install front and rear bearings and press into place.
