Ignition Coil

DIRECT IGNITION SYSTEM (2.5L)

Ignition Coil(s)

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.

2. One bolt holding engine brace.

3. Raise engine brace.

4. Tilt engine forward.

5. Spark plug wires (note positions of wires before removing).

6. Nuts holding coil(s).

7. Coil(s) from module, being careful not to bend module prongs.

Install or Connect

1. Coil(s).

2. Nuts holding coil(s).

3. Spark plug wires, making sure to replace them in the proper positions.

4. Engine to original position.

5. Engine brace.

6. Bolt to engine brace.

7. Negative battery cable, and tighen to 12 Nm (106 lb.in). As a courtesy, reset the clock.
