Service Procedure
Manual Transmission vehicles1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove passenger's side kick panel.
3. Pull ECM out but do not disconnect cable.
4. Remove old PROM from ECM and replace it with new PROM.
Manual Transmission vehicles (Con't)
5. Reinstall ECM and kick panel.
6. Reconnect battery and install Campaign Identification Label.
Automatic Transmission Vehicles
1. Raise vehicle hood and locate spark delay valve between air induction valve and vacuum switching valve (see Figure 1).
2. Remove spark delay valve.
3. Install new spark delay valve with red plastic end facing toward vacuum switching valve.
4. Install Campaign Identification Label and close vehicle hood.
