Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Hold drive belt and loosen pulley bolts. Loosen mounting bolts and remove belt and pulley.
2. Remove hoses, electrical, and vacuum connections from pump, then the mounting bolts and pump.
3. If needed remove control valve.
4. Filter/fan may be removed using needle nose pliers.

INSTALLATION

1. Install pump and tighten mounting bolts. Install hoses, electrical, and vacuum connections.
2. Place new fan filter on hub if necessary, then spacer and pump pulley. Tighten pulley bolts equally to press the filter on to the pump. Do not hammer on filter. If new filter is installed, it may squeal until seated on pump.
3. Install and adjust belt. Check for proper system operation.
