Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Refrigerant Oil Capacity and Distribution

^ The Air Conditioning system requires 240ml (8 fluid ounces) of 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

^ New oil quantities must be added to the system during component replacement as follows:

a. Compressor - Remove, drain oil, measure, replace same amount of new oil.

b. Evaporator - Add 6Oml (2 fl. oz.).

c. Condenser - Add 3Oml (1 fl. oz.).

d. Accumulator - Remove, drain oil, measure, replace same amount of new oil as drained, plus 6Oml (2 fl. oz.) to compensate for that retained by the original accumulator desiccant. If no oil can be drained from old accumulator, add 60ml (2 fl. oz.) new oil to the new accumulator.
