Front Sun Gear
1. Inspect front
sun gear for worn or damaged splines, chipped or cracked gear teeth and scored, pitted or damaged bearing surface.
2. Inspect thrust bearing for pitting or roughness.
3. Install front
sun gear with identification groove, against snap ring.
4. Install thrust bearing with the needle bearings against gear. Thrust bearing requires only one race.
