Valve Body Replace









1. Remove transmission oil pan and filter.

2. Remove screw and washer securing TV cable to the transmission.

3. Disconnect electrical connectors.

4. Remove bolts securing electrical connector clips.

5. Remove bolts securing solenoid assembly, then the solenoid with O-ring.

6. Disconnect case electrical connector, then remove O-ring seal (40).

7. If equipped, remove temperature switch and attaching bolt.

8. Remove pressure switch, then the TV lever and bracket assembly from cable link.

9. Remove TV lever bracket assembly, then the manual detent roller and spring assembly.

10. Remove the signal oil pipe retainer and signal pipe.

11. Support the control valve assembly, then remove the remaining valve body bolts and control valve assembly. Care must be taken when removing the control valve assembly to prevent loss of the three check balls located in the assembly. Do not carry assembly by attached pipe.

12. Remove check balls.

13. Lay control valve assembly down with the spacer plate side up. not damage the switches.

14. Reverse procedure to install. Torque valve body bolts to specifications.
