Blower Motor: Service and Repair

LESS A/C
On Models with 3.1L/V6-192 engines it is necessary to remove the serpentine belt and alternator to prior to performing the following procedure.
1. On all models, disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect blower motor and blower motor resistor electrical connections.
3. Remove plastic water shield from right side of cowl.
4. Remove blower motor attaching screws, then the blower motor.
5. Remove blower motor cage attaching nut, then the cage.
6. Reverse procedure to install.

WITH A/C
On Models with 3.1L/V6-192 engines it is necessary to remove the serpentine belt and alternator to prior to performing the following procedure.
1. On all models, disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect blower motor electrical connections.
3. Disconnect blower motor attaching screws, then pull blower motor and cage out.
4. Remove plastic water shield from right side of cowl.
5. Remove blower motor.
6. Remove blower cage attaching nut, then the blower cage.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
