Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Service and Repair

Evaporator Tube Replacement:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT


1. Discharge and recover refrigerant from the system.

2. Screw (12).

3. Condenser line (5) from evaporator inlet (10).

4. O-ring (11).

5. Orifice tube from inside of evaporator inlet (10).


INSTALL OR CONNECT



- Coat O-rings with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

1. Install new orifice tube short screen side down.

2. New Oring (11).

3. Evaporator inlet tube (10) to condenser line (5).


Tighten

- Evaporator connection to 17 Nm (13 ft. lb.).



NOTICE: Refer to "Fasteners" under "Vehicle Damage Warnings."


4. Screw (12).

5. Refrigerant to the system.

- Check the system for leaks.
