Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

1. Disarm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. On Coupe models, open left rear storage compartment cover.
4. On Convertible models, remove storage compartment frame and covers.
5. On all models, remove sound insulator pad.
6. Pull EBCM electrical connector retaining clip to release front of connector, then slide connector toward front of vehicle to relase rear of connector.
7. Remove EBCM attaching nut, then remove EBCM, Fig. 90.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque EBCM attaching nut to 8 ft. lbs.
b. Ensure wiring harness connector is tight and fully seated.
c. Ensure sound insulator pad covers valve or excessive system noise may result.
d. Rearm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
