2-4 Servo Assembly

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Raise and support vehicle.

3. Remove upper and lower body braces, if equipped.

4. Remove exhaust system.

5. Remove oil pan retaining bolt directly below servo cover.

6. Install servo cover compressor tool No. J29714-A or equivalent, then depress servo cover and remove retaining ring.

7. Remove cover, seal ring, servo piston and bore apply pin assembly.

8. Reverse procedure to install. Whenever any servo parts are replaced, apply-pin length must be checked.
