Wiper Motor: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Ensure wiper motor is in Park position, then disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove wiper arms from wiper transmission linkage.
4. Remove cowl panel cover attaching screws, then the cowl panel cover.
5. Loosen transmission linkage to motor crank arm retaining nuts, then disconnect linkage from crank arm.
6. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector, then remove left dash defroster duct flex hose to gain access to wiper motor retaining screws.
7. Remove left heater duct to engine cover shroud attaching screw, then pull heater duct downward and out of vehicle.
8. If washer motor is integral, disconnect hoses from washer pump.
9. Remove wiper motor retaining screws, then the wiper motor.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
