CONDITION:

Some owners of 1992 model year C/K trucks and G vans with 5.0 liter V8 engines (VIN H) may comment of engine cold start stall. The potential stall generally occurs when the throttle is slightly opened.

CAUSE:

Initial cold start stalling was due to lean fueling during cold start operation.

CORRECTION:





If normal diagnostics and service procedures do not correct the above condition, a revised calibration PROM should be installed (see illustration).

Parts are expected to be available April 19, 1993.
