Emission Control Systems: Service Precautions

FUEL
^ Use only "DIESEL FUEL."
^ Avoid running out of fuel.
^ In cold weather, ensure that the fuel temperature remains above freezing so that fuel gelling does not occur.

STARTING
This vehicle is equipped with glow plugs/air intake heaters, make sure that the "Wait To Start" lamp has gone out before the vehicle is started.

MAINTENANCE
Service vehicle on regular scheduled maintenance intervals to ensure proper engine performance and lower emission levels.

ODORS/EMISSIONS
Always be conscience of fuel odors and excessive tailpipe emissions (black smoke), these are problem indicators.
