Air Injection Check Valve: Service and Repair

AIR System:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Remove any parts necessary to access check valve.
2. Remove release clamp and disconnect air hoses from check valves.
3. Unscrew check valve from AIR injection pipe.

CAUTION: Always hold AIR pipe assembly when removing check valve, as damage may occur due to the AIR pipe assembly twisting. It may be necessary to apply penetrant oil to the valve to help in removal.

Install or Connect

1. Screw the check valve onto the AIR injection pipe.
^ Torque to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

CAUTION: Always hold AIR pipe assembly when installing the check valve, as damage may occur due to the AIR pipe assembly twisting.

2. Position air hose on check valve and secure with clamp.
3. Install or connect any parts removed for access.
4. Check to ensure correct operation of system.
