Front

Front Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement






Note: The front wheel speed sensors and rings are integral with the hub and bearing assemblies. Should a speed sensor or ring require replacement, the entire hub and bearing assembly must be replaced.

Removal

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove brake caliper assembly.
4. Remove brake rotor.






5. Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector and move aside.
6. Remove bolts from hub assembly.
7. Pull hub assembly from spindle.

Installation

1. Positon hub assembly on to spindle.
2. Install bolts. Tighten to 86 Nm (63 lb ft).

Note: Make sure wheel speed sensor electrical connector is reconnected to wheel speed sensor wire bracket and wheel speed sensor or wires could be damaged.







3. Connect wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Install brake rotor.
5. Install brake caliper assembly.
6. Install tire and wheel assembly.
7. Lower vehicle.
