Disassemble
1. Remove snap ring, backing plate and clutch plates, per figure.
2. Compress spring and retainer assembly using clutch piston compressor tool No. J-23327 and adapter tool No.
J-38734 or equivalents, then remove snap ring.
3. Remove spring and retainer assembly and piston.
4. Clean all components. Piston should not be cleaned with solvent.
