Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Body Assembly:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector
2. Two TP sensor attaching screws.
3. TP sensor.
4. TP sensor static seal.

CAUTION: The TP sensor is an electrical component and must NOT be soaked in any liquid cleaner or solvent as damage may result.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. TP sensor static seal.
2. With the throttle valve closed, position throttle position sensor on throttle shaft, then align with screw holes.
3. Two TP sensor attaching screws.

Tighten
TP sensor attaching screws to 2 Nm (18 lb. in.)

4. Electrical connector.
