Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Fuel Filter Bracket:

A fuel filter is used in the fuel feed pipe ahead of the fuel injection system. The filter element is made of paper and is designed to trap particles suspended in the fuel that may damage the injection system. The filter is located under the rear of the car, rearward of the fuel tank. There is no service interval for fuel filter replacement. Only replace the fuel filter if it is restricted.
