Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Crankshaft Position Sensor:




Ignition Coil Assembly:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
3. Ignition Control Module (ICM) electrical connectors.
4. Spark plug cables. (Note proper relationship of cables to coils.)
5. Ignition coil assembly to block bolts (3).
6. Ignition coil assembly from engine.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Ignition coil assembly to engine.
2. Ignition coil assembly to block bolts (3).

Tighten
Ignition coil assembly attaching bolts to 20 - 30 Nm (15 - 22 lb. ft.).

3. Spark plug cables to proper coils.
4. ICM electrical connectors.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Negative battery cable.
