Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On Coupe models, open left rear storage compartment cover.
3. On convertible models, remove storage compartment frame and covers.
4. Remove sound insulator pad.
5. Pull EBTCM electrical connector retaining clip to release front of connector, then slide connector toward front of vehicle to release rear of connector.
6. Remove EBTCM attaching nut, then remove EBTCM, Fig. 84.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque EBTCM attaching nut to 8 ft. lbs.
b. Ensure wiring harness connector is tight and fully seated.
c. Ensure sound insulator pad covers valve or excessive system noise may result.
