Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Ignition Coil/Module Service:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Four-terminal PCM connector at ignition coil module.
3. Two attaching screws.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. A package of silicone grease is included with new module. Spread the grease on metal face of the module and on the mounting bracket where the module seats. The grease is necessary for module cooling.
2. Module attaching screws.

Tighten
Screws to 1.7 Nm (14 lb. in.).

3. Four pin connector to ignition coil module.
4. Negative battery cable.

Tighten
Battery cable bolt to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
