Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Air cleaner assembly.
3. Electrical connector.
4. Throttle Position (TP) sensor attaching screws, lockwashers and retainers.
5. Sensor.
6. Sensor seal.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Throttle position sensor and seal.
^ Line up TP sensor lever with drive lever on throttle body.
2. If there is no thread-locking material remaining on the attaching screw assemblies, apply Loctite 262 to the threads, then install screw assemblies.
^ Tighten TP sensor attaching screw assemblies to 2.0 Nm (18 lb. in.).
3. Electrical connector.
4. Air cleaner assembly.
5. Negative battery cable.
