Throttle Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Intake Manifold Assembly:
DESCRIPTION The nonadjustable throttle shaft-driven TP sensor is mounted on the upper manifold assembly opposite the throttle cam lever. It senses the throttle valve angle and relays that information to the PCM. Knowledge of throttle angle is one of the inputs needed by the PCM to generate the required injector control signals (pulses).
