The S/T Series Pick-up and Utility model trucks are available with multiple engine, transmission and Engine Control Module options. Prior to diagnosis, it will be necessary to identify the engine control module to ensure the proper diagnostic steps are performed.

[1] The eighth digit of the VIN denotes engine code.
[2] PCMs are used on Automatic Transmission Pick Ups and Utilities.
[3] VCM-A is used on Manual and Automatic Transmission Pick Ups and Utilities.

Note: VCM-A Control Modules are located Underhood on the RH fender. PCM Control Modules are located under RH dash panel area.
