Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Condenser:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Discharge and recover refrigerant from the system.
2. Grille.
3. Compressor and condenser hose from the condenser.
4. Evaporator tube from the condenser.
5. Bolts retaining condenser to radiator.
6. Condenser.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Condenser. Refer to Refrigerant Oil Distribution, if replacing the condenser. Capacity Specifications
2. Bolts retaining condenser to radiator.
^ Tighten bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb. in.).
3. Evaporator tube to the condenser.
4. Compressor and condenser hose to the condenser.
5. Grille.
6. Refrigerant to the system.
^ Check the system for leaks.
