Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MAP Sensor Service:

The MAP sensor is mounted to the intake manifold source.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
2. Carefully bend the locking tabs holding the sensor to the manifold source just enough to remove the MAP sensor.
3. Pull the MAP sensor straight out of vacuum source.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Ensure that the seal is installed on the MAP sensor and that the seal is not damaged.
2. Position and install the MAP sensor to the manifold vacuum source. Ensure that the locking tabs engage to hold the MAP sensor to the vacuum source.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
