Description

1st/2nd synchronizer outer cone and 3rd/4th blocker ring are lined with friction material and cannot be checked visually for wear. Replacement is necessary when gap between blocker teeth and adjacent clutch teeth is significantly less than specified. 5th gear blocker ring is brass and can be checked visually for wear and damage.

NOTICE: Make certain the blocker rings are correctly identified before assembly. 1st/2nd synchronizer blocker ring does not have friction material. The 3rd/4th synchronizer blocker ring has friction material. Assembling one in place of the other will result in serious damage to the transmission.

Inspect
- 5th gear blocker ring for wear and damage.
