[01] Horizontal deflection measured with dial indicator against wheel rim while pushing in on bottom and pulling out on top of wheel. Read gauge then reverse push-pull procedure. Refer to Suspension/Ball Joint, Upper/Service and Repair for additional inspection procedure.

[02] Lower ball stud has a visual wear indicator. Refer to Suspension/Ball Joint, Lower/Service and Repair for additional inspection procedure.
