M. Rear Housing Assembly

- Tools Required:
- J 36504 Output Shaft Oil Seal Installer
- J 36511 Oil Plug Hex Bit (17 mm)
- J 36190 Drive Handle

ASSEMBLE





1. Rear housing shift shaft bushing into the rear housing using J 36190.
A. Install bushing into bore so that the writing on the bushing lip faces toward the housing.
B. Install the bushing flush.





2. Shift shaft support and snap ring into the rear housing.





3. Slip yoke oil seal using J 36504.
- Apply petroleum between the lips of the seal.





4. Oil drain plug using J 36511.
- Apply pipe sealant to the threads.
- Tighten oil drain plug to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
