Trim Panel

Armrest Replacement (YC5):




Accessory Switch Mount Plate W/ Lock Lever Escutcheon:




Front Door Trim Panel (YC6 & YC7 Shown):






Tool Required:
J 9866-01 Door Handle Clip Remover
J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Remove or Disconnect

1. Two screws and armrest cover (base trim only).
2. Window handle, it equipped.
3. Lock lever escutcheon by pulling out, starting with the front edge.
4. Upper corner trim by pulling out at top edge and pivoting down to clear tab at trim panel (YC8 and YC7 only).
5. Two caps covering the screws retaining the assist handle.
6. Two screws retaining the handle to the door.
7. One screw at front edge of accessory switch mount plate.
6. Plate from trim panel.
9. Electrical connectors from switches on plate, as necessary.
10. Door courtesy lamp assembly from door panel, if equipped.
11. Trim panel retainers from the door using J 38778.
12. Trim panel from the door.

Install or Connect

Important
^ The front side door trim panels use fasteners that can be re-set and re-used. Replacement is only required if the fasteners were damaged during removal.

1. Trim panel retainers to the trim panel.
2. Trim panel to the door.
^ Place the window seal portion of the panel over the door frame.
3. Door courtesy lamp assembly to door panel.
4. Electrical connectors to switches on the accessory switch mounting plate, as necessary.
5. Plate to the trim panel.
6. One screw at front edge of accessory switch mount plate.
7. Handle to the door with two screws.

Tighten
^ Screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

8. Two caps covering the screws on the assist handle.
9. Upper corner trim by insert tab in slot on door trim panel and seating the fastener into the door at the top (YC6 and YC7).
10. Lock lever escutcheon by snapping into place, starting at the rear edge.
11. Window handle, if equipped.
12. Armrest cover with two screws (YC5 only).
