Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Service and Repair

APP Module And Mounting Bolts:

WARNING: Failure to disconnect the negative battery terminal may result in personal injury or damage to the vehicle's components. Turn OFF the vehicle ignition, unless instructed otherwise.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Disconnect the negative battery cable under the following circumstances:

^ When installing an electrical unit.
^ When a tool or equipment could easily come into contact with "live"exposed electrical terminals.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the mounting bolts (3).
4. Remove the sensor (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the sensor (2) and the mounting bolts (3).

Tighten
^ Tighten the mounting bolts to 1 Nm (10 lb. in.).

2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
