Headlamp Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDUREHeadlamp Control Module Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Open the hood.
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in General in formation.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Raise the RH headlamp manually. Turn the manual headlamp control knob counter clockwise.
4. Disconnect the RH headlamp wiring harness electrical connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Removal Procedure:
5. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
6. Remove the front fascia lower closeout panel.
7. Release the brake caliper cooling duct from the front fascia, then reposition the duct

8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headlamp control module.

9. Remove the nuts mounting the module to the headlamp bracket.
10. Remove the module from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Installation Procedure:
1. Install the headlamp control module into position on the headlamp bracket.
2. Install the nuts mounting the module to the headlamp bracket.

3. Connect the electrical connectors to the module.

4. Position the brake caliper cooling duct to the front fascia and push to secure.
5. Install the front fascia lower closeout panel.
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Installation Procedure:
7. Connect the RH headlamp wiring harness electrical connector to the forward lamp wiring harness.
8. Lower the RH headlamp manually. Turn the manual headlamp control knob clockwise.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten
Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.
10. Close the hood.
