Generator Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the regulator connector and the battery.to-generator terminal from the back of the generator.
Generator Pulley Replacement: Installation Procedure:
3. Release the accessory drive belt tensioner (3).
4. Remove the accessory drive belt (5) from the generator pulley (6).
Generator Replacement: Removal Procedure:
5. Remove the generator rear mounting bracket and bolts.
Generator Replacement: Removal Procedure:
6. Remove the generator mounting bolts.
7. Remove the generator from the bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Generator Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Install the generator to the bracket.
2. Install the generator mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the generator mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Generator Replacement: Removal Procedure:
3. Install the generator rear mounting bracket and bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the generator rear mounting bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 Lb ft).
Generator Pulley Replacement: Installation Procedure:
4. Install the accessory drive belt (5) to the generator pulley.
Generator Replacement: Removal Procedure:
5. Connect the regulator connector and the battery.to-generator terminal to the back of the generator.
Tighten
Tighten the battery to generator terminal nut to 13 N.m (10 lb in).
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten
Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
