Oil Pressure Gauge: Description and Operation

The oil pressure gage indicates engine oil pressure with the ignition switch in the "RUN" position. An oil pressure sensor in the engine block changes resistance with oil pressure. On gasoline engines the oil pressure sender is located at the top rear of the engine block.
