Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Set the parking brake and block the tires.
2. The instrument panel cluster trim plate filler by pulling to disengage the retainers.
3. The instrument panel cluster trim plate from the instrument panel by pulling in the following sequence to disengage the retainers.
A. Pull at the left corner.
B. Pull at the right corner.
C. Pull at the top.
4. The electrical connectors from the switches in the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
5. Move the shift lever to the first gear position.
6. Rotate the instrument panel cluster trim plate counterclockwise, and lift it over the steering column.
7. The headlamp switch and the rear heater control switch (if equipped) from instrument panel cluster trim plate by releasing the outboard tabs.
8. The instrument panel cluster trim plate from the vehicle

INSPECT
The instrument panel cluster trim plate for broken or missing retainers and replace as necessary.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The instrument panel cluster trim plate from the vehicle.
2. The headlamp switch and the heater control switch to the instrument panel cluster trim plate by pressing to engage the retainers.
3. Rotate the instrument panel cluster trim plate clock- wise over the steering column.
4. Electrical connectors to the switches in the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
5. Press the instrument panel cluster trim plate to engage the retainers.
6. Instrument panel cluster trim plate filler to the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
7. Move the shift lever to the park position.
8. Remove the blocks from the tires and release the parking brake.
