Cruise Control Module

For gas engine applications, the cruise control module maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions.

Typical operation is as follows:
The cruise "ON/OFF" switch must be in the "ON" position. When the "SET" button is activated the cruise control module stores the last vehicle speed input from the VCM into a memory. The stepper motor (part of the cruise control module) will increase or decrease throttle position depending on the load (going up or down a hill), to maintain vehicle speed. If the Cruise "ON/OFF" switch is turned off, or the brake is applied, the cruise control module will turn off the cruise system.
