Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Exhaust System:

TWC (with Exhaust Manifold Pipe) And Heated O2 Sensor (Behind Convertor):

NOTE: The three way catalytic converter can be serviced by replacing the entire converter assembly.


Remove or Disconnect
1. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
2. Nuts from manifold.
3. Bolts/screws from intermediate exhaust pipe to three way catalytic converter.
4. Three way catalytic converter.

Install or Connect
1. New three way catalytic converter.
2. Intermediate exhaust pipe and bolts/screws to three way catalytic converter.
3. Nuts to manifold.
Tighten
^ Nuts to 32 Nm (24 lb. ft.).
^ Intermediate exhaust pipe bolts/screws to 47 Nm 35 lb. ft.).
4. Lower vehicle.
