Oil Level Indicator and Tube Installation

1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 or equivalent around the oil level indicator tube 13 mm (0.5 inch) below the tube bead.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block. Rotate the tube into position.
3. Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt.
^ Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the oil level indicator into the tube.
