Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

A Caution About Trouble Code Numbering

NOTE: A vehicle does not need to use a Body Control Module, to utilize the B prefix with codes.
Also, B codes are sometimes shared and can mean very different things depending upon which group of codes you are calling up. For example, a 1998 Cavalier use the B1015 code twice:

B1015 (IPC) Passlock Cluster Fail Enabled
B1015 (SRS) Passenger Deployment Loop Resistance High

One is an instrument panel code, the other an Air Bag code.

Be sure and know which group of codes you have called up before you go looking for the DTC.
