Keyless Entry Receiver: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Receiver Replacement: Removal Procedure:





The service replacement receiver must also be programmed to accept the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) sensors. The TPM system uses the same receiver as the Remote Function Actuation (RFA) system. Thus, the TPM sensors and RFA transmitters must both be reprogrammed. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization and TPM Sensor Programming in Tire Pressure Monitor.

1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
2. Remove the left rear wheel tub trim plate (trim is fastened by double sided tape).
3. Gently pull on the retainer at the back side of the receiver (1).
4. Pull out the receiver (1) only enough to expose the connector (2).
5. Disconnect the receiver connector (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Receiver Replacement: Installation Procedure:




1. Connect the receiver connector (2).
2. Line up the receiver (1) with the slots on the retainer.
3. Snap the receiver (1) into place on the retainer.
4. Install the left rear wheel tub trim plate
5. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming/Synchronization.
6. Program the TPM sensors. Refer to TPM Sensor Programming in Tire Pressure Monitor.
